“Awake thou that sleepest! And arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light. See that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time because the days are evil. Therefore be ye not unwise but understanding the will of the Lord.”

Day in and Day out, our lives are easily filled with nonsense. A lot of our time is spent working, watching TV, going to school and trying to unwind from our busy days. Sleep, go to work or go to school, relax, sleep, go to work or go to school, relax…our daily life. Unfortunately, this cycle becomes our entire existence…lasting for years, even decades. Though we like to perk up things every so often, most of our days are pretty much the same and basically uneventful. But if our lives seem like mush…what does that mean? Many of us live with routine and this is the best way to manage our busy schedules. It is comforting and secure to live in our familiar patterns…we’ve become set in our ways. But whether or not your life is exciting or not, isn’t really the issue. It’s really whether or not this type of religious routine is also true for your spiritual life. Our daily lives mirror who we are inside. If we have a routine life, is that because nothing happens to us? Or is it because we won’t allow anything to happen? And if we keep a distance from any meaningful activity that may affect us…then are we doing the same within our spiritual lives? Do we live in fear of changes? Are we too comfortable within our comfort zone? For many of us, living a Christian life is going to church every Sunday, staying away from certain types of people, living a good clean life and trying to avoid “sin”. But is this what it means to be spiritual? To live a life of Christ? NO WAY!!!

We all know that we could do better in the “spiritual” department, but we’re not all that bad…are we? Well…the thing about a spiritual life that never changes is that we get used to it…and end up NOT wanting to change it …EVER. One problem is that we don’t want to grow…I take that back…yes we do want to grow…but we just never do. Because in order to grow, we need to actively challenge ourselves. We need to take an honest look at our lives and make some real adjustments. And yea, that means some change in our routine. To truly grow in the Lord is to SURRENDER TO OUR LORD! We are in a trance. A comfortable, unending Merry-Go-Round that goes around and around. We are hypnotized by it and enjoy it. But to REALLY go somewhere…we need to get off the ride, orient ourselves, and begin to journey to a REAL PLACE. A Spiritual Place. And by “A Spiritual Place”, I don’t mean that we need to escape and head towards a mountaintop or a church. I mean that Spiritual Place in our soul. A place that the Spirit of God resides. A place where Christ can show us things and teach us about His kingdom. A place where God’s love can flow. We need a spiritual awakening FROM THE INSIDE!!!

Many of us think we know all about God, all about the Bible, and all about living a wholesome Christian life. And we tell ourselves…everything is just fine. But in actuality, many of us are still in a deep sleep. we say to ourselves that it will happen ONE DAY but it never does because we Satan and this world and yourself will make sure that you are too busy with other things to pay serious attention to your SPIRITUAL EMPTINESS! Our minds are preoccupied with our stuff, our dramas, our work, our pettiness, our money, our relationships…the list is endless. Our minds are filled with everything…but Christ. Of course, we will never realize how much we are asleep until we invite the Holy Spirit to wake us up from our dream, which has been our life. You see, when the Holy Spirit wakes us up, we can suddenly see what has really been going on with us. We have to make a decision however, that we will be willing to let go of everything that we thought has been real for us and behold the Kingdom. Many have been awaken but chose to go back to sleep not heeding to the Holy Spirit and therefore grieving it and slowly killing that spiritual inner voice. God will try to wake you up…but many choose to go back to sleep…where it’s familiar…where it’s comfortable.

We can choose to ignore the Holy Spirit. How horrible it is to not heed to the inner voice and the awakening of the Holy Spirit! It is our Father reaching out to His kids to tell them the truth that all that they see is not what it seems. That He has so much more planned for us if we just join in a covenant with Him and surrender to Him to be used by Him to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to ALL! We will work now and rest later. We will build up treasures not here but in our home which is with our KING JESUS! The Holy Spirit wants to show us in this awakening that most of our vanities and preoccupations are meaningless…yet they have taken up decades of our life. That there are people searching for the true meaning of life who need to meet Jesus Christ, but there is no one to tell them. And when the Spirit awakens us, we realize that we can do more for God than just attend church on Sundays. Just as we arise from a physical sleep and become active…so must we arise from our spiritual sleep and become active. God gives us power to start a chain reaction of His love that can radiate from our hearts to other people. A power that can transform us and the world. A power that can heal, a power that can rebuild, a power that can restore. The Holy Spirit has so much to say…but we have drowned Him out with the TV, with our fears, with our worries, with our work and school, with our other idols and relationships that we put before God!.

In the beginning we were spiritual minded first and saw things in a spiritual sense and way with our spiritual eyes. Adam walked with God and talked with God there was an intimate relationship between the two but when sin entered the pictured our spiritual eyes were closed and thus we walked in the flesh. Our fleshly eyes (mind and heart) were opened and we could see only things of the fleshly realm GEN 3:6-8 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.  Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves  It is the Spirit of God which can and will open our eyes to see things in the spiritual realm and to understand the things of God and the importance of these things as far as our life and love for Him. Here are some examples of such OPENINGS: NUM 22:31 Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell face down and in2 KINGS 6:16,17“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them. And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha and inNUMBERS 24:16 the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who has knowledge from the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened and inACTS 26:18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

The Spirit of God is gathering people from all parts of the global landscape as part of His remnant. Those that have eyes to see and ears to hear are paying attention to what He has to say.

 ·   God told the Prophet Elijah there were 7,000 just like him that had not kissed the face of Baal and Jezebel (1 Kings 19:18).
 ·   He gave Gideon 300 faithful, courageous and alert warriors that brought deliverance to a nation (Judges 7:7).
 ·   David fought with mighty men that helped transition the kingdom out of Saul’s religious control (2 Samuel 3:1).
 ·   Jesus baptized 120 with Holy Spirit power in the Upper Room and they turned the world upside down (Acts 2:1-4).

The Spirit of God is gathering His remnant, hungry warriors just like you that want to make a difference with their lives. What you feel in your spirit is the awakening of “Sonship” (Rom 8:18-19). Father is calling His Sons and His Daughters to arise with a glistening reflection of His countenance upon their faces (Isa 60:1-2).

The Deeper Mandate:

It’s a significant reality that pulls from deep places of the heart, more impacting than most passing spiritual hungers. Those hungers you feed with common Bible Studies and fellowship groups, but this is more of a mandate. A demand is being made upon our sense of passion and purpose. It’s as if God is asking for more from us today than in times past and the anointing upon our lives must increase as well.

A New Fabric:

This remnant is a “new fabric” formed through intercession (Heb 7:25) and ripped from the cloth of a priestly garment. God seems to be calling for His five-fold ministers to align and engage for strategic assignments. The good news is that you are not alone, if you feel the tugging upon your heart. There are thousands just like you that God has preserved in wilderness places. They are spiritual reformers and revolutionaries of righteousness. They are the revivalists that have been waiting in the trenches of institutional structures holding on to the power of God, in the face of opposition. Reveals Governing Strength: In a world where everything that can be shaken is now shaking, the One True Government of God is beginning to arise. It’s the government of the heart that is awakened by the Voice of our True Shepherd. It’s that anointed government found only on the shoulders of the One called “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace” (Isa 9:6-7), yet it is advanced among a Kingdom People filled with the Knowledge of the Glory of His Presence (Hab 2:14). Scripture declares that the gates of hell shall not prevail against this Church (Mt 16:18), for it’s the habitation of God by His Spirit (Eph 2:22). It’s exciting to know that you were born for such a time as this, a time when the enemy’s entrance has raised the standard of Zion’s determination(Isa 59:19).

The Zeal of Zion, God’s Remnant:

The Holy Spirit is saying “Only the Sons of God, walking in the Holy Spirit can manifest the Kingdom”(Isa 52:6).As the shaking continues, the Remnant Church will arise out of obscurity and again walk in His Spirit manifesting signs, wonders and miracles, confirming once again that Jesus is the Christ, raised from the dead and Lord of all the Earth.

It is one thing to possess the Holy Spirit but to be FILLED AND LED is another. Both FILLED and LED are both action verbs. To be FILLED by the Holy Spirit means an anointing of a daily application of obedience to Gods word and will and LED means to surrender of yourself and to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. There are many Christians who are NOT FILLED and are NOT LED and are NOT AWAKENED because they do not choose to be obedient and to surrender and follow. There are even some Christians who are AWAKENED but chose to go back to sleep spiritually because they are not willing to leave their area of comfort and to be challenged to do things for the Lord which will require a purified love and dedication to Gods word and will. They are simply satisfied with their salvation gift and pursue a selfish life and love for Christ which excludes others and also excludes spiritual growth. They can't have intimacy with Christ because to have that requires surrendering to Him, which means a being obedient and which also means sharing the True Gospel of Christ to others.

To those who accept the call to discipleship and recognize that they are here solely for His purpose and are not concerned or worried about being challenged to leave their area of comfort and will say anything for Him and go anywhere for Him and do anything for Him then the HOLY SPIRIT AWAKENING is like breath of fresh air and nothing can compare to the joy of knowing exactly why and what and where is your anointing and calling for our King Jesus. You will see this world and the people of this world LIKE NEVER BEFORE. Thoughts will come into your head that you know are of Christ as you look and talk to people and see and hear the bondage that they are in. They maybe smiling in your face but there is a sadness about them that you know because of your spiritual eyes being turned on, that they are a captive and are dieing to be set free by Jesus. You will hear certain things in the news and see certain things with your own eyes and know spiritually that this has happened due to the spiritual warfare or directly due to the prophecy of the Lord. You will talk to people and about their problems and pray with others and be discerned as to how and why it all came about. You will be simply able to look at someone and hear their voice and know if they are involved in any inner strife in their life and if it requires a prayer of deliverance to rid them of that demonic hold. You will know when you are in right standing with the Lord and hear His voice and feel His presence and you will even get remembrance of something that caused you to be apart from Him to confess and repent.Do not take for granted this HOLY SPIRIT AWAKENING because it will enhance your hunger and passion to serve the Lord. Be prepared what the Lord will show you and be determined that once you have received this AWAKENING your life will never be the same!!!

In Him,
